چکیده
Plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) have gained worldwide importance and acceptance for agricultural benefits. This is due to the emerging demand for dependence diminishing of synthetic chemical products, to the growing M. do Vale Barreto Figueiredo (*) National Research and Technological Development, Brazil Agronomical Institute of Pernambuco, IPA/CARHP, 1371, Gen. Scientific researches involve multidisciplinary approaches to understand adaptation of PGPR, effects on plant physiology and growth, induced systemic resistance, biocontrol of plant pathogens, biofertilization, and potential green alternative for plant productivity, viability of coinoculating, plant microorganism interactions, and mechanisms of root colonization. By virtue of their rapid rhizosphere colonization and stimulation of plant growth, there is currently considerable interest in exploiting these rhizosphere bacteria to improve crop production. The main groups of PGPR can be found along with the phyla Cyanobacteria, Actinobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Firmicutes, and Proteobacteria. Therefore, the examples coming up next are related to these microorganisms. Although taxonomic affiliation of validated genera containing PGPR strains described in literature is vast, phenotypic and genotypic approaches are now available to characterize these different rhizobacteria. The progress to date in using PGPR in a variety of applications is summarized and discussed here.

Seed Priming With Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria Alleviate Salinity Stress In Wheat Plant
The objective of this paper was to study the effects of two strains of isolated plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) on physiological and biochemical changes of wheat leaves under salinity conditions. The sterilized seeds were soaked in distilled water (control) and Nutrient Broth liquid medium of Enterobacter cloacae and Bacillus cereus (inoculated treatment) for 2 hours. After 10 days ...

Plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are known to influence plant growth by various direct or indirect mechanisms. In search of efficient PGPR strains with multiple activities, a total of 150 bacterial isolates belonging to Bacillus, Pseudomonas, Azotobacter and Rhizobium were isolated from different rhizospheric soil of chick pea in the vicinity of Allahabad. These test isolates were bi...

Abstract Many agricultural researches have been performed to improve soil productivity. Nitrogen (N) and Phosphorus (P) are essential elements which are utilized by the plants in large amounts. Phosphorus can be provided by applying chemical fertilizers. Microorganisms convert insoluble phosphate to the soluble form and some bacteria such as rhizobacteria play an important role in this proces...

Among abiotic stresses, drought is considered as the most important growth limiting factor, especially in arid and semiarid regions. Drought impacts can be adjusted by soil microorganisms. Accordingly, the present study was organized in order to the increase the tolerance of lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus)to drought using plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR). Treatments were wa...
